Dave Irwin, President
Dave Irwin started Xtra in 1984, building it up from a small Toronto-based company to the national leader in HVAC lifecycle solutions that it is today. A certified HVAC technician, Dave participates on key regulatory boards that define criteria for safety, service and training, including the Ontario Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (ORAC), the Council of Ontario Construction Associations (COCA), Industry Council-Gas Mass Market Program, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Toronto Chapter.
ORAC: President and Board Member since 2004, (Ontario Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association), member of various other committees
JTAC: Trustee since 2007 (Joint Training Apprenticeship Committee)
PAC: Advisor to the Minister of Training Colleges and Universities (Provincial Advisor Committee)

John Mills, Vice President
With almost 30 years of industry experience, John joined Xtra in 2007 following the merger of the service division of his former company, Concept Air Systems, with Xtra Mechanical. John is a certified HVAC technician with further education in business and building automation systems (BAS). John focuses on ensuring a responsive, preventive, predictive and proactive service experience for Xtra clients from coast to coast, and has played an active role in various industry associations and boards, including: the ORAC, COCA, Industry Council-Gas Mass Market Program, and ASHRAE Toronto Chapter.

Harry Hildebrand, P. Eng., Sales Manager
Harry is a professional engineer with 25 years of sales and management experience in the HVAC industry. During his career he managed the distribution and service operations in the prairies for a large HVAC manufacturer and subsequent to that was employed as the Business Development Manager for another large world wide corporation. Most recently Harry has spent the last six years with Xtra Mechanical Limited. His mantra is simple: Look after the customer.

Mitch Paul, Service Manager
With 22 years of industry experience, Mitch has been with Xtra since 1996. A licensed Journeyman with a Gas Fitter 1 license, Mitch manages our team of service technicians in addition to instructing apprentices through the Joint Training and Apprenticeship Committee (JTAC) programs. Mitch is also Xtra’s representative for Health and Safety at the industry level, as well as the management representative on the internal Health and Safety Committee. |
